Belkin n52te speedpad gaming keypad

It's great with vehicle, as you don't have to move middle finger to break or hover back. Oh man, I think I just passed out. I cannot play games without this, it just kills my arm to use a regular keyboard. I have gone thru 1 n50 and 2 n52 in the last 7 years. I have been sending emails to Belkin for months begging for an updated n52 driver for Vista, and they give me this. Sweet Jebuz be praised! On the right side of the device, there is a scroll wheel, like those normally found on mice, which can be controlled with the index finger.

To the right of that, there is a round button, as well as an 8-way D-pad normally found on gamepads, intended to be used with the thumb. All of these controls can be programmed with the included 'Nostromo Array Programming Software' to emulate any keyboard function or keyboard macro. They can also be programmed to change the device's 'state'. The n52 has 4 different color-coded states, indicated by 3 LEDs below the fifteenth button. If a user changes the state of the device from the normal one, the red, green, or blue LED lights up, and all other controls now represent a different function.

The state-button can be set to act as a temporary shift button that works while it is pressed, a toggle button, or it can be set to work until it is pressed again. In total, this allows up to different functions. The software can recognize games by their executable filenames, and automatically load the appropriate profile when that game is started.

User-created profiles, which are technically single files, can be submitted to Belkin via e-mail, making them available for others to download. With the symmetry, aside from the joystick, being rather whole. The G13 Logitech gaming keypad comes with 22 main keys. Although the G13 is longer than most Logitech gaming keypads, it is not very wide. This provides ample comfort, regardless of your palm size. At all times, your hand is relaxed, leaving most of the work to a well-supported forearm.

An LCD screen that displays either automatically fetched, relevant game stats while you play or custom statistics that you choose. A backlight.

A glorious backlight. Simply being able to register the key positions out of the corner of your eyes with the very defining lights increase your accuracy plenty until your muscle memory kicks in.

You can also control the color of the backlight using RGB values, which gives you quite a wide range. An analog joystick that comes up just under your thumb and has a very nice resistance to it. It allows you to rest your thumb on it without really triggering any controls. When you do decide to move it, the motions come naturally. All your profiles and changes made to the G13 are stored on the G13 itself.

Everything from the build quality to the software is premium and the functionality is perfect. The G13 Logitech keypad could arguably be one of the best gaming keypads there is. If the joystick was modular and was built to be switched around between the right side and the left; the G13 Logitech gaming keypads would dominate the market.

This is actually incredibly helpful in finding a comfortable posture. The palm rest and buttons have a smooth matte finish that feels really nice and offers a decent amount of grip. It features 32 fully programmable keys including a joystick, a thumb bumper, and one button. All easy to reach and rather easy to acclimate to, even for a newbie. The Razer Synapse software lets you configure your device and set up profiles and macros that can be changed on the fly.

I have the original N52 for a few years ago and the complaints I had with the original, was ThumbPad was stiff and the keys had a generic feel to them But obviously the issue was Bullet Proof abused the crap out of him for years and still works. The n53te has taken everything about the old and made it better.

I was really glad that the narrowness of the Dpad, so much easier on the thumb. It looks much better, the keys have afeel better when they are pressed. I always related to the button at the bottom left, so that the amount of keys that I have I play WoW, double.

I was really impressed. And 'Plug and Play. I tried to use the software when I have, but considered it unnecessary to make the most of the games buttons you want to associate the ease with which you should then connect to your game and decide which key they want to know where. I think it would be only one part of the key.

Those who are not around the ThumbPadhelpful. I want an additional row of keys - I just bought the Logitech G13, which try more buttons , but has not yet arrived so do not compare. I recommended to all with this game, you pay them if I get the brakes from the game hoping to see what helps.
