Hello, My other computer which is running Windows XP keeps on restarting itself on loop. Start Windows Normally" I choose "Start Windows Normally" , and then it shows as if it starts windows with the Windows XP logo - but after a few seconds then, restart again! I tried "Safe mode with Networking" but it didn't work also. You can get more information here about the Stop error and also how to create a boot disk.
That site gives me instructions with using a floppy disk. My computer doesn't take floppy disk. That site must be pretty old I was afraid. When I google this stop error it says it happens on Windows Would you happen to know what version of XP you're running? If you could borrow the same version from someone you could possibly do a repair. Not sure of the version, just know that it's windows xp media center edition. I really need to get this computer back up and running.
Here is what Microsoft has to say about that error. From my understanding, the web page is referring to getting an error when trying to shut down, but I get the error message when trying to start up not shut down. I'm not able to modify any application without getting the computer to start up. Also I am using windows xp version 5. Check out the forums and get free advice from the experts.

Just to make sure we are on the same page here I wanted to say once we can get Windows back up and running then I will be giving you instructions to go through the malware forum.
Though they can probably work with you even without being in Windows it makes it easier for them to work within windows. Once they have you clean and healthy then you would return here for any other issues that need to be resolved. First do the backup and then we will work on getting windows back on.
Without knowing if and if so what infection you may have it is hard to tell what can and cannot be copied over without fear of infecting another system. Normally txt, doc, pictures and such are usually safe from infection. If you can borrow a XP installation disk of the same variety that is installed: Home, Media or Pro and the correct Sp version we can do a repair installation and try to get everything back up into windows.
To fix the issue, we need to access the computer from Recovery Console. If you do have your Windows CD 1. Restart your computer so you are booting off of the CD.
When the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press the R button on your keyboard to start the Recovery Console. The Recovery Console will start and ask you which Windows installation you would like to log on to. If you have multiple Windows installations, it will list each one, and you would enter the number associated with the installation you would like to work on and press enter. If you have just one Windows installation, type 1 and press enter. It will then prompt you for the Administrator's password.
If there is no password, simply press enter. If there is more than one problem it may reboot again to continue repairing. At this time, you can plug out the DVD, restart your computer and everything should be working normally. Then you'll find that you can boot your computer successfully as normal.
