It will boot from the CD and go to the installation setup and tel me to pick a language. But then when it starts installing it gives me an error and says something is inaccessible.
I tried a few more times and now then It says it cant boot from disk 0 partition 2 which has my hard drive listed with GB available. I tried again after that and where it says Where do you want to install Windows? Windows cannot be installed to Disk 0 Partition 1. Show details windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. The partition was reserved by the compters original equipment manufacturer OEM.
I since then have removed the hard drive and found a little bit of sticky residue under where the hard drive was. I then carefully cleaned it out and dried it again and putting the hard drive back in. I still get the same error. Can anyone please help? How do i tell what exactly is damaged? My friend said it might be the hard drive.
Do I just have to order a replacement ahrd drive of the same one? Or is there more that is water damaged? Sorry for the long post but I thought I would try to explain my situation in detail. I do not know the specs of my laptop because I dont know how to pull them up like this but again it is an Asus N53SV Laptop that I bought reburbished.
